Homecoming Pressures

Dear high school students,

Whether this is your first year going to a high school dance or your fourth, we all feel the un-neccessary pressures. Homecoming is approaching fast, and for me and many it is exactly 1 month from today. Well just today I felt the pressure to get the "date". I mean school just started like 15 days ago, and I already need to find a date for the big whooper junior.

Well how does one get a date you might ask??  hmm, you tell me, PLEASE!

Do you act like you just want to go as just friends, when in reality you feel WAY more. It's hard.

 OR

Do you ask your potential date to go because you think that you could see yourself with that special person?

I cannot give you the answer. It is however you truly feel.

And for all of you who say that you won't go just because you can't get someone to go with you, JUST GO & party your lil' behind off like a rockstar. That's what I've learned. You could also potentially find someone there to dance with. It'll work out.

Trust me.

I am a Senior and never found a date to go to homecoming with, but I end up having a blast with my girls, and sometimes have my dancing buddy.

It will work out, and don't worry becuase maybe something or someone magical might come along and surprise you. Even if it doesnt happen, dont worry or care about it.

Remember: True Friends are forever, dates are for 1 night.

Sincerely,

Val1dazzle <3

hey -- i'm in the same situation as you. if you're good friends with the guy, i think you should bring up the subject while you two are in a group. don't target him specifically, just say you're excited ask about plans afterwards etc. then about two weeks before mention it again to him individually, but still nothing totally obvious. if he doesn't ask you within one week of the dance, ask him. like you said, you never know what can happen -- it could be magical =]
