Congratulations everyone who entered the Scavenger Hunt!

For the past two semesters, the Progressive U Faculty and I have hosted the Progressive U Scavenger Hunt. This small Bonus Point opportunity has launched the contest for a variety of reasons - the least of which is to help our newest members find their way around our features while learning about some of the rules here on Progressive U.

This semester, we received a very large response! 102 members submitted their answers to the Scavenger Hunt (almost double last semester's 58 responses). Congratulations!

While I'm not going to announce each and every person's results from the bonus opportunity - I have been receiving a lot of emails asking just how many points they got for the Scavenger Hunt. So - here you go (in alphabetical order):

Now, before you ask, The other 32 responses answered anywhere from 1 (the lowest other than the 0 we received) to 15 answers correctly, and will be receiving 100 points for each correct answer. And here are the answers to some of your other questions:

"But I knew all the answers, why didn't get a perfect 20?" The biggest reason most people did not get their perfect 20 is because of the links. Some examples included a link to the main forum when we were searching for a specific forum, a link to a person's blog (none of the answers were listed in a blog - as was explained when we launched the feature), or a link to the main page with a note saying "you can get there through that", or no link at all. (If you happened to find the answer on another page other than the one we had planned - you did receive credit.)

"Can I resubmit for more points?" Please no! Going through 102 emails about one subject is hard enough the first time. If you truly feel you deserve more points, you can send me a private message and I will go through your answers with you. If there was a mistake, I will gladly adjust your point total. Please only send me a message if you think there is a mistake - do not email me asking for specific answers to questions right now (save that till after the Blogging For Progress Scholarship is over - if you're really curious) - otherwise my head just may explode.

"I didn't even know about the Scavenger Hunt Bonus Point Opportunity!" The Scavenger Hunt was launched at the same time the Blogging For Progress contest started - Midnight, Pacific Time on February 15, and lasted for one month. If you joined after March 15, 2008, the Bonus Point Opportunity had already ended. We will launch it again next semester (with all new questions, of course) so you can try then.

Once again, thank you and congratulations to everyone who participated. We are getting ready to launch more Bonus Point Opportunities and features; and sometime this month we will be releasing the current "Top 25" in the running for the Spring 2008 Blogging For Progress Scholarship.

You should be able to see the changes in your points totals now. I've just finished going through and adding everyone's points in for them.
