McCain? Seriously?

Its hard not to hear about the presidential election now, unless you live under a rock, but whats even harder to listen to is what the candidates are saying and what future they have in store for America.

Now, naturally, I am a republican. Don't shoot me. That's my choice. But for this election, I can't decide on who I should vote for. McCain? Seriously? I don't know if he would live through a whole term. Being president takes a large toll on a person and I don't think he'll make. His policies are not the greatest and I don't agree with most of them. Ugh. What to do?

Before anyone says I should vote for Obama or Clinton, lets get this straight. I don't vote for socialists. People have seemed to forgotten what socialism is and what effects it would have on them. Socialism leads to Communism. I'm sorry but I like my rights(what few I have left).

Obama scares me too. Sorry but he does. His pastor,Jeremiah Wright, is an awful man, who should be ashamed of himself. The topics he preached on were totally against America and, I say, if he is so against the U.S.A. he doesn't have to be here. Back to Obama, how can we trust him to lead our country if he tolerates that much hate and disrespect toward it? The only reason he disowns his pastor now is because he got caught. Now that is what I want in a leader.

I am a woman, so naturally, I would be excited that there is a woman candidate for president, but also for that reason I am against having a woman president. Women are not emotionally stable and we have constant mood swings. We need a president who is stable and can make decisions without emotion input. The president has to make decisions that are best for the country, not what they believe or prefer.

So maybe I won't vote. Whoever wins the country will go to crap so what is the point?

Or maybe I'll run. That was a joke.

Interesting blog for me to read right now. I'm leaning towards Ralph Nader, but only because he is most representative of my ideas... you know, the issues.

I like my socialized libraries, my socialized fire department, my socialized fire department thank you very much.

Ohhh, political blog. I can't resist chucking my two cents in here....

I too am a registered Republican, though I've actually been gaining interest in the Libertarian Party lately (sounds crazy, I know....) Of course, I don't agree with a lot of what they believe, but it's pretty interesting, and they are all about liberty.

Anyway, back to the subject: McCain. Sure he's old, but considering his mother's still around at the age of 95, I'm thinking he's got some death-defying genes or something. And depending on his running mate, who knows, maybe it'd be beneficial to this country if he left office early. I doubt that my second favorite, Ron Paul, would make McCain's VP list, but maybe Huckabee could. I like Huckabee, if only because he acts much more genuine than most politicians. To give you an idea of what I mean, consider this: when asked on CNN what he thought about the Wright-Obama ordeal, he refused to say anything inflammatory or negative (unlike Clinton and McCain), and only went on to say that he could understand the frustration that people like Wright would have, even if it was misguided. He doesn't believe in destructive politics, and refused to stoop to that level, even when given a chance to bash Obama.

VOTE! I think the only reason why anyone shouldn't vote is if they know nothing about the candidates. If you have any sense of political efficacy, then you should vote for whichever candidate represents the better choice. Don't expect perfection out of any one candidate. You just got to pick who will be the best choice.

PS, I'm not a woman, but even I think you went a little hard on Hill there... hah
