This is the more local aspect of smoking not too long ago a law was passed in my time that made smoking in bars illegal and also demanded that people had to be at least 5 feet from the entrance of a business if they were to smoke outside. Needless to say it greatly upset the smoking crowd and their defense was that it would hurt some businesses profit and that the government shouldn’t be trying to control what they did. But my thoughts are why should they have the right to smoke around people that may be non smokers everywhere they went what gave them the right to shorten other peoples lives with their second hand smoke. Nothing that’s what they assumed it was their rights as a human to affect all of the lives around theirs for the worse if they so chose because they couldn’t handle not smoking until they were say in their own homes or away from all types of businesses.

Needless to say because there is such a vast majority of people addicted to cancer sticks the law was passed over and loopholes were created just two weeks after the law was passed. There is no stopping people it would seem is it right definitely no. Does anyone want to even try to justify why this law getting passed over is the right thing? Yes I am completely biased but then again this is a blog. But tell me I want to here your thoughts on the subject please.

What gives the government the right to tell the owner of a bar that he can't smoke or allow smoking in his own property?
