There was a huge storm on the night of December 2nd all the way through the night of December 3rd that hit the Western part of Washington state. Wind speeds reached 120 mphs in some places. It was the biggest, craziest and scariest storm I've even been in. Hundreds and I mean literaly hundreds of trees cam down on all of the roadways and power lines. It caused us to be without power for a full week in some places and more in others. There was so much flooding that when the trees were off of the road there was still no way to drive the roads with all the water. The storm caused the roof of the cafeteria at my school to blow off and the softball fence to bend over backwards and break in half. It also caused 3 trees to hit my house and garage. One hit the very top of my house, one hit the back deck and the third hit the garage. My mother and I were in the house when the tree hit. It was the scariest thing ever. About 20 other trees landed in our yard. We've spent days and days cleaning up the debris but still havent even made a dent in the clean up. It is absolutley insane. The funny thing is that we were planning on selling the house and now theres no way to sell it untill we fix the roofs(house and garage) and the back deck. and clean up all the trees and debris. Anyway I just wanted to inform you all about how drastic this storm was and how it has affected us.
