I was reading CNN's political ticker today and the news I read was so ridiculous that I feel the need to go off on what people were saying. First I would like to say that over the past month I have finally found my Republican Candidate in Mike Huckabee and avidly supporting him. I have been overjoyed to see that he is rising in the polls as other people see him to be a good leader as I do.
Today I read however, that Mike Huckabee's opponents have been attacking him, saying that he can't win and that his campaign is going to implode. I can't blame Huckabee's opponents for attacking him. At this point it looks like he's going to win the nomination. The least they can do is get to know a little person I like to call reality. They say that Mike Huckabee can't win, let’s just take a look at Huckabee and his campaign and see how effective a campaign that he is running.
Huckabee's greatest strength is his communication skills. If you have watched him in every debate he has dominated every republican debate. Do any of you remember how John Kerry handed it to George Bush in the debates in 2004? As a republican I would love to see Huckabee do this to the Democratic candidate in 2008.
How about the money Huckabee is raising? Mitt Romney has raised millions upon millions of dollars from the wealthy for his campaign, and has been spending millions of dollars on TV ads in Iowa, New Hampshire and other early primary states. It wasn't until recently that Huckabee raised a million dollars, or have the money to buy a TV campaign ad. Huckabee can do with a hundred thousand dollars that Romney can do with a million dollars.
How about we just ask the Democrats what they think of Mike Huckabee. We have several quotes from people from the Clinton Campaign saying that they would not want to run against Huckabee. Why did they say that? They explained that Huckabee is a certain type of Republican, a populist, social conservative Republican. Whether you agree with it or not, Social conservativism is very popular in this country. Also being a populist politician steals a lot of the Democrat's thunder. Also Huckabee's communication skills would make him very capable of persuading the American People, much like the quality of Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan in their campaigns ands presidencies.

Well, I wish this were the case now, I am as well a supporter of him. But I do not think there is anyway possible now that he could win. :(
He's pretty much doomed now. What's your opinion now?
I still really like him. I just wish he had a chance.
