Best Tasting Water Baby!

I just read a report about Los Angeles having the bets tasting tap water in a water tasting international contest. Los Angeles received the “award for best municipal water.” I was kind of stunned to find out this kind of competition actually exists. But whatever, it’s cute.
This award means that the people in Los Angeles working with the water take “special care and attention to their water and how it is being processed.” I wonder since we have the tastiest water, does that also mean healthiest? I am sure it does not. I bet it is exactly opposite. I bet the reason it is sooo tasty is because it has so much pollution in it. Just Kidding, really!
I just always imagined perfectly clear and healthy water would taste like nothing. I did not know that natural water has a taste that could be described as tastiest.
Also, something really cool about this particular competition is that the company with the best bottled water donates some of their earnings to “AIDS relief and water relief in Africa.” I like when people get rewarded for doing a great thing for this earth. It just means we are getting closer to great things happening. Yes I can bring every little thing back to saving the Earth!

Because LA is so big, it probably goes under more scrutiny, and is probably much healthier than most. Tap water is actually a better choice than bottled water too. Most bottled water is just tap water from where ever it is bottled (not mountain springs or glaciers) and there are much higher regulations on tap water than bottled water. Moral of the story: save the environment and a buck and just drink tap!

I agree. I hate bottled water. I think it's the most wasteful thing to ever be invented.

Well that just proves that proves there is a contest for just about anything. Although, I didn't think water had enough taste to judge tastiness.

Oh, but it does! If you start drinking tap water from many different sources, you will eventually be able to tell the difference and even pick favorites! My favorite water comes from a local restaurant where I live.

I thought NYC had the best tasting water because it was filled with minerals from... somewhere....

I can tell the differences between city water and well water and bottled water. I'd probably enjoy such a contest! Sounds pretty cool!
