a time of reflection

It was my first time to visit our capitol and it was one of the greatest times of my life.  I knew what to expect considering all of the history books have pictures of the Lincoln Memorial, White House, Capitol Hill, etc.  But when you're actually on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and you realize how huge he is compared to you, it's amazing.  I got to meet my congressman and senators at capitol hill. I met so many student leaders and together we did soulja boi on the steps of capitol hill.  I found a name on the Vietnam war memorial wall, I saw the white house, I shopped in Union Station all in one day.  I know that if I had had more time, I would've got to visit all of the museums, but after having meetings all day and getting to talk to them about FCCLA and our federal laws, I didn't have time.

A little shout out to all of my FCCLA state officer friends.  There are so many of them and I love them all.  Some are National Officers and some are just State Officers, but they all are awesome and they've made an impact in my life.  Whether it be doing mission time, or doing the cupid shuffle, it will all have a meaning to me no matter what I do. Thanks for the memories!  They've been great!!!
