I have only been a member here for a few hours, and I've already written a few blog entries pertaining to things I feel are important. However, I feel like a lot of teens on this site are only here because of this scholarship competion. I see meaningless comments all the time, comments that clearly indicate that the person did not really read the entry. People read my entries, yet don't say anything.Yes, I am also involved in the scholarship competition, but maybe I shouldn't. If we have to be enticed to discuss progress, are we really going to go anywhere?So what's the solution? I say this: change the competition guidelines. Anyone can click on countless links and get "points," and anyone can mindlessly respond to entries. And even though we can ALL make a difference, not everyone will.

I agree. Too many people are standing and shouting but no one is really doing much to change anything...
