What's wrong with America today (Part 2)

The draft...these two words can instill fear in many.
Reinstating the draft...three words that define a fear, but have already technically been done back when Reagan was in office.
My boyfriend being drafted... a fear of mine since I learned McCain wants to fully reinstate the draft.
The last thing I ever thought about was the draft. That was always on the back of my mind. When I actually found a young man I cared about, it still wasn't there. But when the repubilcan candidate for presidency is up for doing this if we stupidly decide to invade Iran, I panicked. What can a 18 year old boy do when his number is called? I'm a female, so how can I be scared right? I'm scared for him, and I'm scared of this country. I'm scared of our unwillingness to take action that might result in his death, and many other's. This country is not free; I never use the word "free" and the phrase "The United States of America" in the same sentence. Drafting isn't a representation of freedom, the Declaration of Independence was. But who looks at that old piece of paper written by a bunch of old men right? That's what I feel everyone feels..maybe cause at one point I thought like that. But people, take a good look at it. Do we not have the right to take action to make just what is unjust in our government? I think we do, and that it is an obligation. I think we should take another look at the people that want to represent us, and that already are. As a supposed democratic society I think we have to. And as a supposed democratic society our young men shouldn't have to fight a war they completely disagree with and didn't ask to be in. Hey, it was done like 30 years ago, so why wouldn't it today if nothing has changed these laws?
