Progressive Facebook, Day Two: "Everything Has Its Beauty, Just Not Everyone Can See It"

I really enjoy today's piece of Flair. Written on notebook paper in red, black, and blue, with a stylish, almost handwritten font, reads "Everything Has Its Beauty, Just Not Everyone Can See It."

What an optimistic Flair, no? And carrying a little message to all the pessimists of the world: Take a step back and take another look, will you? There's something good there somewhere.

I'm not just talking about random things you may see, like an old, beaten-up pick-up truck, or some work of art that you don't quite understand. No, I'm relating this Flair to everything in life. The good, the bad, the ups, and the downs. You can choose to be pessimistic, or you can learn to be optimistic.

And it's very true. No matter how bad things get, there is always a speck of good, a bit of hope, something to smile about. A progressive world takes the bad things, and turns them into something good.

It's the age-old concept of learning from our mistakes. Sure, we may mess up pretty badly, but in the end, it is a valuable experience that will help us to make better decisions later on down the road.

When it comes down to it, we learn from everything we experience. And to recognize that...well, that's seeing the beauty in everything.

Not a bad topic to blog about. I'll have to look for that button later. I just added Pieces of Flair and I like it, except you can't delete the buttons after you've added them. I like to change my mind so that's a little bit of a downside.

You mean, like, delete them from your stash, or just take them off tack board thingy? Both are easy and simple to do!

And that's comin' at ya' from yer local redneck hippie.

Delete them completely. I know how to simply remove them from the corkboard, but that just puts em back on the "My Flair" list.

When you click on the My Flair tab, underneath of it should appear some options. Click on View all, and you'll get a nice list. Then, find the one you want to get rid of, and click Drop. That should do the job.

Dig the post. I'm the most "aware" of beauty and ugliness and every sort of thing in the wilderness. As far as indoors things go--I can't exactly see the beauty in a record player, but I can certainly hear it.

The Once-ler: Well, what do you want? I should shut down my factory, fire a hundred-thousand workers? Is that good economics, is that sound for the country?
