Here's a poem I wrote last year when some of my friends were gushing about how "in love" they were with their boyfriends. They were talking about love and we got into this big discussion about what it means. It means more than just....being in love with someone. It means love as in loving people. Loving humanity. And showing it. And so I wrote this.

Love is the laughter
of friends at play
Love is the smallest act of chivalry
by the man who held the door open for you the other day
Love is meaning every single thing you do or ever say
Love is never giving up in spite of the fact
that things don't always go your way
Love is simply smiling to the stranger on the street
or saying whatever you simply may
Love is doing what is right even when you're afraid
and the sky is dark and grey
So now you know what love is
--Have you Loved enough today ?
