Okay, so I don't really have my first credit card. Actually, my debit card will tell you that I have like 2 dollars in my savings account. Is that bad?
So, I like how everyone's freaking out about a recession. My main thought if there's a recession is that I'm going to buy as much as I feel like buying even if it's harder for me to do so.
I know a recession isn't going to hurt a teenager as much as it will a working class family, but even I will notice the changes that come with a recession.
It's also my thought that the main cause of any recession in the near future will be everyone's fear of one. A recession won't come until you're scared it will, and that's when it'll come...at that exact moment.
The one thing I've noticed about prices (not necessarily any recession) is how a Kit Kat bar is now 60 cents rather than 40 cents. Haha, it's sad, I know. It took candy to make me realize that prices have changed.
But if a recession comes, let's all spend like nothing has happened. That might be a little tough, but I think it'd be pretty funny to see a bunch of 17 year olds buying expensive stuff. How would that happen? I'm not entirely sure but I like turning important events into comical ones.

See, I don't believe that we're entering a recession. I find it hard to do so when Bush hasn't said it. He's leaveing office so he wouldn't care what people would say if he were to say "hey, we're in a recession".
Also, it's an election year and the media is liberal. People vote out of their pockets. If the media says it's a bad economy people will vote for...what's Obama's platform? Oh, right, "Change." What he's going to change no one knows because he hasn't said exactly....but whatever. i'm going off tangent.
"Of course it is happening inside your head, but why on Earth should that mean it's not real?"
Just because Bush didn't say something is happening doesn't mean that it isn't. Why would he want the entire US to know that our economy is screwed?

Lol, I just wrote a similar blog about the fact that we are in a recession. It's actually ironic because I haven't even seen your blog, prior to the fact I just finished writing mine and seeing related posts. Haha. But, a recession hurts everyone, especially like the one we're in now. Being a high school Senior, I understand that some people can't afford a college education. Parents are concerned they may dig into their retirement funds just to put a single child through college. Now what happens if the family has 2 or 3 or more kids? What a debt that would cause! Rising education costs combat with rising gas prices, not to mention other things like paying the bills.
We are in a recession. The government would never say we're in a recession. It would be shameful. If we weren't, why would the government be issuing out checks? They are doing so to stimulate the economy. That is proof enough that the government is willing to issue out money to the number of Americans (married or single) in the country.
All-in-all, the U.S. is indeed, in a recession. Although it is normal for the economy to decline sometimes, one like this is going to get worse.
Relating to the title of your blog, "Recession, I just got my fifth credit card!" That is irrelevant. Just because you have many credit cards, does not mean your wealthy nor does it not show we are in a recession. Credit card companies get people that way. People have a natural tendency to buy, buy, and buy. They know that people will spend money they do not have and when the bills come.......Oh no, they can't pay them!! Which leads to further debt, because interest grows, and they end up paying more than they had to because they have trouble paying for existing debts. Haven't you seen the media, like t.v. shows? The classical ads of companies or people who can help you pay off all of your credit card debt. Credit cards usually bring people into debt...they may be spending imaginary money that they do not have.
I dont think the writer was attempting to establish any of this from the title of the article.
