As of right now, the Big Ten Channel (premiering in 2007) is only scheduled to be on Direct TV. I don't know about where most of you all are, but I personally live in the Chicago area and have Comcast Cable. I emailed Comcast to see if they would pick up the rights to broadcast the Big Ten Network and here's their response:
We receive requests for different services all the time. I will add your e-mail comments to our programming database, which is used to measure customer satisfaction and channel request. Our marketing department tracks customer requests and they do periodic surveys asking what channels our customers want. In addition, the marketing department also looks at how much it will cost to provide the service. Lastly, the physical capacity to provision the programming service is also reviewed.
I might as well just switch over to DirectTv, they basically have everything.
