the theme for my english class is opportunity.
my english teacher does give us an opportunity to speak our mind.
we are currently reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X.
the theme opportunity is seen through out this book.
she wants us to understand fully Malcolm X's opportunities that he took, ignored and made for himself. and all this made me think about my opportunities.
what is opportunity?
opportunity:–noun, plural -
1. an appropriate or favorable time or occasion: Their meeting afforded an opportunity to exchange views.
2. a situation or condition favorable for attainment of a goal.
3. a good position, chance, or prospect, as for advancement or success.
i have to apply opportunity through the rest of the school year.
having an opportunity gives me a chance , a chance to do something
i know i have passed opportunities which would have helped me
such as when i didnt take that job, which would have helped me build up my job experience.
i know i could have taken that opportunity to help me achieve in a way.
i took opportunities which helped me gain experiences.
for example, i went to a summer computer program in a college
it was a fun experience. i got to meet new people and got to better my computer skills.

I don't know if this fully answers your question, but I'll try anyway.
I've taken whatever opportunities I can. I've taken writing courses and college courses over the internet before I even started college. At college I go to different events like comedians and singers and have started to join clubs. I'm trying to do a lot with my college experience, and I think that is the way to go.
