Breaking News --The US military is on alert
At 6:30 pm this evening I heard the words I never want to hear. The United States Military is on alert, Shepherd Smith said this. Now he said this with great emotion and stated as all reporters are told when this happens ( and all news organizations do this.) ONLY the facts.
Evidently some one blew up the US Military recruiting station in Times square this morning-fact.
2ndly some New York Congressmen Received threats of this beforehand--. fact. An Iraq style device was used here.-fact.
Now the United States Military can only go on alert- when directed to do so by the President of the United States (He has the authority to put the United States Military on Alert.)
Now all of this above are facts from the the news report. The President giving the order I know from my Political Science and history degrees.

1. During the Cuban missile Crisis;
2 When JFK was shot.
3 Just before Richard Nixon resigned...
4 On Sept. 11, 2001 after the 1st report of a plane hitting the building.
Now restinpeace remembers something else about these events. Facts were not forthcoming until the US Military had the situation in control when the military stands down.
Now it may be only a precaution on the part of the President. We may not here much about it beyond the alert is over.
This much is clear.
Something is going on!
The US military is on alert.
Please pray that NO one is hurt.

This has nothing to do with Hillary Clinton, Obama or McCain. it is not politics or religion.
It is more than a terrorist alert.
This is the time you may decide to pray and keep the news on.

It sounds like more of a dissatisfied anti-war idiot than a terrorist. Why?
1) This isn't the sort of thing that is really going to scare people.
2) It was done in a way that showed a desire not to hurt people.
3) It was done (and the 2 similar cases in the past were also done) in ways that aren't really going to hurt the economy, government or morale of the nation.

IT doesnt sound like a terrorist thing, but if it was an anti war act, then they are acting in a violent way, contradicting their "anti war" morals.
