With the number of posts that are written everyday, I am wondering what inspires people to write?
I mean, yes, there are the obvious sources, such as news stories or even class assignments. I know that almost everytime an issue comes up in my life, or someone asks me a question, I jot it down on a note and almost immediately begin formulating it into words for a blog.
But, I have to admit, after posting so many blogs, I sometimes find it hard to come up with ideas to search for. I try to post about things that no one else has posted yet, although this is a near impossibility right now (since nearly every twist of every subject has been written about).
Then I started thinking, perhaps there are others on this site who have faced the same writers' blocks before? How did they get over it and find something to write about? Where do you gain your inspiration from?

Writer's block can be terrible, especially if trying to spill your heart out onto electronic or even written pages...
My inspiration comes from any day... every day I think of a question that I want to ask myself all day long, and it makes me think on a topic so that if I ever get that block, I can just remember something about one of those questions.
And to post about anything that someone else hasn't... does it really matter (no offense)? It's something that you want to write about, then write it! There should be no shame in having something that's the same as someone else if it is on your mind too.
Good question. I've been in that same boat too many times to count. Aside from the obvious sources, I've had numerous topics sparked in a conversation. Someone will say something and the proverbial lightbulb clicks on.
I also write from life. Sometimes those AHA moments come from our everyday experiences. When all else fails, I just comment on other posts until something sparks a little creativity.
One thing I've been considering but never get around too is looking up those questions I never get around to asking or researching and writing about those. They aren't world shaking or anything like that, just things I want to know that I imagine I could get a decent post out of that others would enjoy knowing.
