"Christian Right"

President Bush is obviously a very Christian man.  I am Catholic, so I dont condemn him for his faith at all.  In fact, it is nice to see a man with morals at the helm of our country.  Its a big change from the Clinton administration...  Is Bush "too Christian"?  The "christian right" has been gaining power every since Bush gained power in 2000.  Many people have chastised Bush for going on "blind faith" in many of the decisions he has made.  Many, if not all, of the past presidents of the US have been religious men.  I believe Bush has taken his religion into his office more than the men before him.  Does anyone agree or disagree with me?  Let me know your thought on the issue.

I've got no problem with a person being religious (regardless of the religion) and I can see where the things learned from that religion would come into play. But, there is a difference in being religious and being ridiculous. Bush is the latter. His views are not the views of the majority of the population (even when the majority of the population is from the same religion). So, my problem with Bush the religious and the rest of the Christian right is that they've gotten it wrong. They've so blinded by their own beliefs that they ignore the fact that not everyone in the world adheres to those same beliefs or sees things the same way. Something like 11% of the population agrees with the religious right... that leaves what? 89% of us pissed off because they are forcing their views and ideas down our throats.

I think its great for our leader of our nation to have strong Christian beliefs and values. It is also great to have that faith in God shape the leaders decisions. Its when the leader starts warping the word of God that we have a problem. If President Bush had a state sponsored religion that forced people to become Christians, then that would be wrong from the Biblical truth. Also if president Bush decided that we should hold a crusade against Jews so that we can take the holy land, that also would be wrong and unbiblicall. If President Bush started becoming racist then again he would be doing something unbiblical.

Bush apparently doesn't give a flying fock about Christians.
