I love Imogen Heap and her music but one song has got me wondering what the heck it means. I get an idea and then at the same time it throws me off and I am back to square one. Does anyone else have an idea?
Hide and Seek
Where are we? What the hell is going on?
The dust has only just begun to fall,
Crop circles in the carpet, sinking, feeling.
Spin me round again and rub my eyes.
This can't be happening.
When busy streets a mess with people
would stop to hold their heads heavy.
Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines.
All those years they were here first.
Oily marks appear on walls
Where pleasure moments hung before.
The takeover, the sweeping insensitivity of this
still life.
Hide and seek.
Trains and sewing machines. (Oh, you won't catch me around here)
Blood and tears,
They were here first.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that you only meant well? Well, of course you did.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it's all for the best? Ah off course it is.
Mmm, what you say?
Mm, that it's just what we need? And you decided this.
Mmm what you say?
What did she say?
Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I dont believe you.
You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.
Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth.
Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs.
Speak no feeling, no I don't believe you.
You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.
You don't care a bit.

I love this song. Whatever you find it too mean, is what is means. I like what it sounds like. It's a calming song to me and whenever I see the Dear Sister thing on SNL it always makes me crack up...
:idk: You don't have enough of your own stuff here. If you write a little more and put it in, then I think you'll be fine. I'm not sure how much exactly. Maybe 2 more paragraphs...
“I am the King of Rome, and above grammar”
Emperor Sigismund
Never heard it...just by the looks of the lyrics, I have no idea what it means. To me, it just looks like a group of random, rhyming words...
