Failed AIDS Vaccine Increased Infection Risk

Tagged:  •    •    •

A possible AIDS vaccine has been recently proved quiet dissapointing. And may also have increased infection risk. Volunteers who had received the vaccine had a higher rate of infection. This “vaccine” was a modified cold virus that was supposed to stimulate the immune system. Specifically stimulating the T cells, the main disease fighters of the body. Three-thousand HIV negative volunteers have been turned down now since the vaccine has failed. That is defiantly not good that that increased the infection risk while trying to slow or stop the AIDS. Maybe they can figure out where it went wrong, make adjustments and have the end results to come out successful.

Do you think we'll ever find the cure for AIDS? I'm sure nobel prizes would be handed out like crazy to whom ever developed the working vaccine.
