Recently, I had the satisfaction of playing the Nintendo Wii for the first time. It was a great experience!
Wii sports had a great variety of games that were interactive and fun, like Wii bowling, boxing, baseball, and tennis. The Wiimotes (controllers for the game)were easy to use and extremely interactive, much more so than PS3 controllers. When boxing, the Wiimote must be in one hand and the nunchuck in the other while you move your hands like you're boxing. The wiimotes become a tennis racquet, a baseball bat, and a fixed part of your arm (for bowling).
The Wii is far more inexpensive than PS3, a mere $250 compared to the $600 a PS3 would merit. 4 people can play on the Wii (if you have 4 Wiimotes you are set!), whereas only 2 can play Play Station. Incidentally, a Mii can be created, the character that is you during the game. A wide varety of noses, eyes, hair, etc. are available to create the face that most represents you!
In short, the Wii is way more fun, cheaper, and easier to play than Play Station 3. I am eagerly anticipating the day when I buy my own Wii instead of hanging out at my friend's house.
