Communist Spy in America? Is China afraid of exposing the truth?

Recently, The Epoch Times reported a story on one of its technical officers who was attacked by the Chinese spies. Here is the link, go check it out.  http://www.theepochtimes.com/news/6-2-9/37956.html

So, here is what I know. The Epoch Times published  Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. This story created a lot of controversies in China. Because of this, Chinese government has formed a campaign against the newspaper. It sends spies to United States and try to hurt anyone who is viewed as a threat to the Chinese government. Yuan Li is one of those people. One night, the Communist thugs went to Li's house. They stole his computers and beat him up almost to death.

Many newspapers are trying to expose how bad the Chinese government is. We know that China is a vital country to our economy. On the other hand, Chinese govenment is harsh and brutal. It has violated so many human rights violations. It prohibits people from study the term "democracy". It censors any materials that would inspire citizens to stand up against the government.

The attack at Li's house was absolutely unnecessary. Why did the government send spies to hurt someone who works in the journalism? Li didn't do anything wrong. He was just doing his job, exposing how horrible the Chinese government is. Can the United States government do anything to prevent this kind of incident? I don't think that our national security can protect Communist spies from entering the country. Plus, these spies are hurting people because their government is afraid of spreading the truth about China to the world. Many Americans are already how inhumane  the Chinese government is. So, there is no point to hide it. Free-trade/ Free-market economy doesn't mean the China is a democratic country. I think the department of Homeland Security  should step in and protect Americans from getting attack by outsiders especially foreign spies.

Why is China so scare about the ideology of democracy? I think Art and Chinaband mentioned something about Google. Google plans to follow the Chinese government's decision to censor any contend that go against the communist government. What is so bad about freedom and liberty to say anything? I don't know. China just want the world to only know its reputation for being one of the most growing economy in the world and not for a country that has violated human rights. Also, they (Chinese politicians) don't want their people to know what the government is doing to its country and their wrong doings. From human rights violation in Tibet to a censorship agreement with Google, Chinese government just want to cover up its actions to the public. Politicians there, probably don't want the people to reform the government. For them, Communism is the best type of government to control the people from turning against the authoritative power.

Can the United States do something about it? The answer is no. The U.S is not going to intervene the Chinese government because it has a very closed relationship together. Plus, we own a lot of money to China. Therefore, communism in China is not going to fall down as easy as we all thought.

You are absolutely right! I believe it goes even further. I think the Communist are operating out of China similar to the way they did in the Soviet Union. They are impacting policy in the US and using the liberals, socilist like the old apparatuses did. I don't understand why there is not more straightforward talk about it among conservative talking heads and radio talk show hosts. Michael Savage and Mark Levine are among the very few addressing this issue.
