The "N" word

Tagged:

the N word is the most controversial racial slur on earth. some ppl believe no one shoule say it. some believe blacks should say it and some believe every one should say it.

its ok for black people to call each other nigga. it's a term of indearment between them. its not meant to be hurtful. it's just like wassup my nigga. or when ur having a convo its just like saying girl or boy. like "girl please", or "boy wat u talkin bout" but instead of sayin "boy" or "girl" u say nigga.

however, some might argue that when a white person says "wassup my nigga" they're not trying to be hurtful either. and most of the time when a white person or a person of any race uses the n word in that context they are not trying to be hurtful. however, the fact still remains that everything blacks have went through makes the n word so sensitive.

thats why its best it stays between blacks. and let others leave it alone.
with no one but blacks being able to use the n word it elimnates the problem of any one becoming offended by a person thats not black using the n word. there will be no question of whether or not a non-black person was trying to be offensive when they used the n word because they won't be using it at all. and also when some non-black people say it sometimes they ARE trying to be hateful, hurtful and offensive.
think about that

Yea I agree with you, the N word is a word that we need to get rid of if we want to move on from racism.

I think that the best way for the word in question to be dealt with is to take away its revered state. Don't cling to the past implications of the word. If a person, using the word in a racist way, refers to you as it, all you have to do is shake your head and walk away. Who's the one who looks like a moron?

The N word is a horrible word when used with an aggressive tone. It all comes down to the way you say it. slanging the term with an ending "a" instead of the "er" doesnt make it any more user friendly. No one should say it. And if you do say it, it should be in the tone of endearment and the people around love you so it doesnt matter if you say it to them. Mind your thoughts and your words. Everything in our society moves so fast that everyone believes they have to talk fast in order to be heard. Thoughts require reflection and then if its good enough to say then it should be said. Most people that use the N word tend to skip the reflection part. The tone is what counts when using a word like that. There are better words to use though when it comes down to it.

All it is, is a word. Every generation we come up with a new list of "curse words" that no one is allowed to say, when really all they are is words. If you chose to be offended, you're crying for attention, the meaning is all in how you choose to interpret it. It's about time everyone just grew up, already.

Can I be offended if someone chooses to offend me?

We're on the internet here. If somebody annoys you, ignore it and go somewhere else, it's only a big deal if you choose to make it that way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
