The Computer Field

Today I had to make a speech in my computer class about what we do, but the thing I want to get out there is that theres not many people who know what "The Computer Field" means. When I was talking to the class that came for a presentation today, I finished it with this simple question. How many of you plan on going into a computer field for your major? Maybe they took it the wrong way and you'll see what I mean, but it was a good lesson for them. There was probably 5 people out of 200 that actually raised their hands. Afterwards I explained to them that the way we are going right now in this world and how much technology is developing, every field you go into, your going to have to work with computers. So I ended it with, all of you are going into a computer field. I just wanted to get that out because many people probably never really take the time to realize that. Remember when theres a computer class thats offered, it wouldnt hurt to take it. Esp. basic computer classes because these classes will help you in fields like medical, sports media, and even construction. After that class, all the other groups that came in for me to speak to. I went around the room and asked everyone what they wanted to be after they graduate.
