The Jaded News Special Report: Chinese Government One-Ups US Government

Chinese Government One-Ups US Government

Looking at that title, you might wonder, is China going to use its spy satelites to watch its 1 billion plus citizens having sex or going number two? Or possibly, has China begun to keep a catalog of every birthmark on every citizen like a giant bureaucratic dematologist office? No. It's much worse, and much more ridiculous than that:

China has stated that no one in China (and Tibet) can reincarnate without federal permission. Go ahead, I'll wait while you laugh your ass off.

You okay now? Okay.

The problem with this new policy is eight-fold, the first aspect being that by policy the Chinese government is atheist believing neither in a deity, nor in an afterlife, especially as regards to reincarnation. Which prompts the question: how can you control something you don't believe exists? Well, simply put, you can't. Of course, even if the Chinese Government did believe in reincarnation as a policy, the Ether, the World Between Worlds, if you will; where all reincarnation decisions are made, falls outside of the jurisdiction of the Chinese Government. So, unless China has plans to invade the afterlife, this new policy is simply grandstanding against the Dalai Lama who has recently stated he will not reincarnate within Tibet while it is under Chinese occupation.

However, we should not put it past China to try and invade the afterlife, since it has been tried before. Emperor Qin Shi Huang tried to invade the afterlife preceding, and at the time of his death in 206 BCE, although this was met with resistance from his military leaders who objected to the entire army being burried along with him (as it would open the Empire up to attacks from everyone, including, ironically, the Tibetans). In that case a terracotta army was created, and subsequently failed to invade the afterlife, according to World Between Worlds historian Parmia Giana.

Since previous attempts to invade and occupy the afterlife have failed, and currently there are no plans on the table to try again (unless the United States attacks Iran, in which case, many many millions of Chinese soldiers will be sent to Iran's aid and subsequently along to the border of the World Between Worlds); it would seem that this is simply granstanding on the part of the Chinese government. It is not a new stance for China to state that it has control over things which it does not, including what happens with the soul of the Dalai Lama after His Holiness leaves his fourteenth incarnation. However, His Holiness remains defiant, and confident, that he will not reincarnate within China.

You can't make this stuff up.

That afterlife historian part gets me every time. Governments have been doing this kind of thing for millenia, though. Witchhunts, communist witchhunts, Islamic fundamentalist witchhunts... Not to mention the unending list of sanctions and refusal for diplomacy on the part of the US government.

The world really has to get out of high school.

That's just funny.

Ugh, high school needs to get out of high school. Rank images of stone silent class rooms haunt me even during the weekend.

Carrying it to this point? Everyone's been heading there for a long time. And repeating itself.

I want to cry, or something.

How exactly does the Dalai Lama effect the Chinese gov? Why would they care who it is?
I feel like this is just going to become like Rome controlling Christianity. And we all know how amazing those politics were.

Start with googling "Chinese invasion and occupation of Tibet".

China is a really fascinating country, but it's current government is just an embaressment despite the power it wields. The way the country is going, it won't be long until the whole place implodes on itself.
