Personally, I believe there are many things that the people of the united states should be informed about and are left in the dark. From listening to the raves of my boyfriend's biological father I realized that there is something very important to the lives of americans that has been going unnoticed. In march 2005 a meeting was held between President Bush, President Fox, and Prime Minister Martin. In case you haven't realized those three people are the leaders of the countries of North America (U.S., Canada, and Mexico). At this meeting they formed "The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" also known as SPP. Perhaps the SPP sounds like a good idea, but this could be a larger step towards "globalization" and the loss of our personal liberties.
The SPP plans to begin a North American Security Plan and the free movement of people, capital, and trade across the borders. Think about the word people and the implications of the phrase "free movement of people". Could this possibly be the reason why Mr.Bush is so lenient towards our border security? There are two ways to look at these developments in relationships. Either our government is preparing for a third world war, or there has been a plan, for who knows how long, to unify all nations under one government. The NAFTA partners quote," We will establish a common approach to security to protect North America from external threats, prevent and respond to threats within North America, and further streamline the secure and efficient movement of legitimate low-risk traffic across our borders.".
The free movement of people across our borders is another concern. A council on Foreign Relations (also known as the CFR) was established and is workinf on a plan to redefine boundaries. This redefinition is based on the restriction of immigration outside of North America and not in between the country borders. Since American citizens don't normally desire to move to Canada or Mexico, there will be much more benefit for Mexican and Canadian citizens.
The CFR quotes, "The three leaders highlighted the importance of addressing this issue at their March 2005 summit in Texas. The Security and Prosperity Partnership for North America they signed recognizes the need for a stronger focus on building the economic strength of the continent in addition to ensuring its security. To this end, it emphasizes regulatory issues. Officials in all three countries have formed a series of working groups under designated lead cabinet ministers. These working groups have been ordered to produce an action plan for approval by the leaders within ninety days, by late June 2005, and to report regularly thereafter.". Nowhere in any of their plans do they ever intend on informing congress or the citizens of their agreements. This could be considered to be a bureaucratic coup d’etat. It is unjust to our people to not be informed through some form of mainstream media. Mr. Bush has yet to hint to any of his plans in a single one of his speeches. If Mr. Bush does not intend to enact an arguable "coup d'etat" then he should put these plans on hold until mainstream America has atleast a chance of being informed on the vast changes in our society.
Adding to the list of concerns in the establishment of the North American Union. The North American Union would have authority over all of North America and would override the sovereignty of the United States on immigration policy, trade rules, environmental regulations, capital flows, public health, and many other key policy areas. The North American Union Tribunal is also in the works and would have supremacy over the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Robert Pastor, a major forefather of this projet, advises the creation of a North American Parliamentary Group to overpower the U.S. Congress. Also in prgoress is the new currency called the "Amero" which would replace the U.S. and Canadian dollar, and the Mexican Peso. Many steps are being taken to make sure the United States does not overpower Canada and Mexico in this union, however the supremacy of Canada and Mexico is being overlooked. Is this because it is "known" that the United States is a superior country, and if so, why would our government be so proactive about joining forces with two lesser nations.
President Bush knew that these "revolutionary" ideas of his would not be popular. This is why he neglected to use this proposition as his main podium in the re-election race. If he would have, he would have lost many votes possibly causing him the election. If the government knows this idea would not be popular, why are they still running with it? Can we, as te American people, allow the government to impede on our liberties without giving a second though to our well being? Being informed of this controversy is the best you can do for now. So next time you're searching the world wide web take a gander at either infowars.com or humanevents.com and search "The Amero" or just google it. To be informed is better than to have all the money in the world, especially if our money is changing.

I understand where you are coming from on being properly informed about what our government is doing next, but I really can't grasp why it's such a problem. You asked why supreme country would take in two lesser nations....but i ask you: why WOULDN'T they?? i personally think its about time that we came together as a globe....no more China, US, Russia....blah blah blah....how about Humanity?? I dunno....i know a lot of corruption can come in tow with globalization, but hey, there's plenty of it [corruption] floating around now...so what's the difference.....our personal liberties are just as as valuable as anybody else...and its not because we're Americans that we should get these liberties.....its because we're human.
if we have so much as a country...why not share it?? Isn't this a concept we expect of our children?? to share with those who have less?? To unite with and speak for those who have a hard time speaking for themselves??
but who ever said Canada was a "lesser" nation to begin with??
there are many aspects that create a "successful nation". More money in the bank and a bigger military isn't the only thing that dictates that. I wonder if Americans would be so turned off against uniting the continent if we would get free universal health care like the Canadians....I wonder how environment would be if we adopted some of the same policies that Canada has??
I dunno...i simply don't see a united continent as a threat.....as far as MY personal liberties go...i've never really counted on the government to maintain them anyways....i protect them myself........im not going to count on the government to do it for me...and im certainly not going to let the government or anyone else TAKE them from me....even i do live next door with someone from Mexico.......Americans aren't that much more pleasant to live next to anyways.
I'm not trying to say that Canada and Mexico are lesser nations, that is not my judgement to make. All I'm saying is that from the precautions this new prospected "North American Union" is taking against the sovereignty of the United States it seems that it is being portrayed as America is the superior country. I would love to have universal health care and I don't really care about being on the top of the monetary ladder either. All I'm trying to say in my blog is that it is unfair that they are taking so many steps towards this new policy and not asking us for any input.
This scares me because if they aren't asking us for our input now, think of how it will be when the government is containing the whole continent let alone the whole world. The people, the mass of all society, will have close to zero say in any decisions that directly affect them. It is alarming that our President has been constructing this plan since atleast 2005 and hasn't said one word to mainstream America.
It would be amazing if we, as a nation, could help everyone in other nations to attain their personal liberties through globalization. But the signs show that we are just becoming ignorant drones, and that is what the government wants. I just want everyone to be educated about what could be coming and how to see the signs of us losing everything our forefathers fought to give to us.
I just wanted to make sure that these liberties you were talking about impeding were simply by letting our borders open up to unite the three nations as one.....i was just getting the wrong vibe i guess......i wanted to just make sure that this wasn't another one of those "I dont want to unite with another country because americans are the only ones who deserve the liberties we have" blog.....you'd be suprised how many of those there actually are
But i completely understand where youre coming from on them not letting us in. We definitely SHOULD have a say.....but sadly we rarely have a say in anything......yet people are still under the impression that our system works and our government are still for the people.
But that's just dips into that drone mentality you had mentioned.....i wish this country would wake up to the possibilities of what is ACTUALLY going on.
It seems like the government is just feeding us whatever they can to make us happy. We need to make our system better, but I suppose it will probably just get corrupted again. All we can do is stay informed and keep our minds clear from the junk they're feeding to the rest of america.

I don't understand the whole Amero and globilisation idea that much and I guess my innocence is coming into play alot here but is there not a way that you can start something up to make people aware of what is happening in USA? Can you not bring it to the attention of some local newspapers, television shows etc or is it a far more complicated issue? My ideas are, start small, even if you educate one suburb or one city you have made an impact in some people's lives. I have so much trouble comprehending the lies and deceit put forward by governments. It is heartbreaking that so many people are not educated or informed enough to understand who and what they are voting for in their elections.
I also don't understand how the governments can honestly expect globilisation to be sucessful. How can you expect so many different cultures, religions and ways of life to conform to one rule. There are so many opinions and variations in the human world that we will never agree to be one entity and live in this "harmonic" world they expect. There will always be wars, bad people and corruption - eliminating our freedom in opinion and creating a limited government to rule 5 billion people successfully is an astronomical task. Think of the "young" nations that have just conformed - indonesia - and how full of corruption the country is. Corruption takes years and years to work its way out of a newly formed nation. Will we be forced to live through the corruption again like our forefathers did as little as 10/15 years ago?
I also wish Bush would understand that blowing up Iran will not solve problems and will not make him a bigger man than his father by ending his reign on America with world war III. He reminds me of the annoying kid in class that had to go one step too far to get the attention and admiration from his fellow peers. Get rid of the ego Bush and stop trying to take on this rediculous role as the World's Most Powerful man.
that we don't REALLY have different cultures...we have ONE culture...and it's called humanity..
That idea may sound cliche, but i think the typical excuses we have for not getting along with and respecting each other are just as cliche.
it IS possible for multiple people across the globe to come to a decision about a global society and how it should be run.....we just have to find the way to do it. The main reason as to WHY we haven't found a way yet is because we tend to lok at the small picture versus the big picture....we spend so much time making rules laws...etc etc about things that we dont really NEED to be making laws about. The only laws we need are the ones that help us survive and keep our species thriving and peaceful (which are the same thing). This is a VERY possible thing...people simply choose not to do it over some excuse or -at least what i would consider- a stupid reason.
I am trying to raise knowledge about this topic. I am on the school newspaper and I have written an article that is very much the same as my post. I will try to take the issue to somewhere that can affect more people, but for some strange reason, people don't want to talk about it. This could be because they don't want to believe that something so deceitful is coming from our "perfect" form of government, or it could be because they have been warned and don't want it to leak. I doubt the second theory very much, I'm not a paranoid type of person, but I do believe that with many people today their philosophy tends to correlate with "Ignorance is Bliss.".
