education is important

I remember when I was in high school, just sitting in class, and all I ever heard was how important it was to go to college, and how no one ever goes to college anymore. and really, all I did was ignore it. I'd put my head down on my desk, and take a nap. Every Wednesday in my advisory class, I would be urged by miss Hayley to go to the library and see the guidance counselor about college. She urged me to fill out applications for colleges that interested me, and she urged me to apply for scholarships. At one point they had me. I was registerd at the art institute of phoenix for media arts. But, that didn't last long. I quit that one real quick.
Now here I am, two years later. I wish I would have went to college.
My boyfriend and I both work retail jobs at Mervyn's. One of the worst companies you could ever possibly work for...ever!
Now I realize. EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT.
I'm going back to school next month, so I'm on the right track, but really, I could have my AA by now if I would have just gone.
The important thing is that I'm going to go, and that I realize that it needs to be done. I can't imagine living my life working a retail job forever. I can't imagine living paycheck to paycheck all the time.
It's not fun.

You can do it, just stay focused on your goals.

If you take intersession classes (the few weeks between summer and fall semesters and fall and spring semesters), summer classes, and 15 hours a semester, you could finish your degree in two years. It seems like a lot to handle with working, but if you manage your time right you can do it.
