David Hasselhoff (of Baywatch fame) accused of spousal abuse!

So I suppose that I'll follow up my second longest post ever (roughly 5-6 pages in length) with one of my shortest ever. Those of us who grew up in the early 80s know that high school conversations related to television often digressed to the show "Baywatch," or, as countless "clever" school boys learned to call it, "Babewatch." Key to this obsession with the absurd show was actor David Hasselhoff, delivering cheesy lines with a panache that is unmatched even today.
Sadly, E! Online reports that he has been accused of roughing up his ex-wife on more than one occasion. This is in addition to the alcoholism problem with which he battled a few years prior. When I considered this announcement, I realized that a very interesting phenomenon has gripped America in terms of celebrity news: we feel that we should know everything about the daily lives of people who act on television and in the movies, but when we assess their actions we often confuse their personal lives and character with those of their "acted characters." It's not such a healthy trend...

Oddly enough, I just watched the Spongebob movie last weekend. If you didn't know, he's in that movie, making one appearance (really just a stupidly cheap storyline fix). I found it amusing the way he said his name.
Celebrities aren't my real concern. They're just rich jerkoffs with nothing better to do but pose for idiotic pictures.

If a society is willing to give freedom for temporary security, they deserve neither.
David Hasslehoff... Where the mighty have fallen. No one watched baywatch for him. Baywatch was for Carmen Electra and Pamela Lee Anderson. Besides the two of them..... There are plenty of other women on Baywatch to take the slack. This was when 90% of America glorified women with big boobs. That's the only time Baywatch was popular. Then the World discovered Sex in the City. Skinny girls without chest.
Seems like i was sidetracked. Uh back to Hasslehoff.I remember him from night rider or whatever the talking car was. That was the only show he was useful for. But still that gives him no reason to beat on a women. No one should beat on anyone, but we live in a different world. There's always going to be some type of problem.
Spousal abuse is way too common in U.S. society these days. It's absolutely sickening.
