Senioritis: a documented illness in which it’s victims become absolutely useless as a person. Affects most students during the last year of high school. Symptoms include laziness and general apathy.
I have the worst case of senioritis ever. I have to push myself every morning to get up and get to school on time. I go into school late at least once a week. This week I said to myself, “I am going to be on time to school everyday this week.” Today is Thursday and I feel like I am going to die. I am so exhausted, plus I feel like I don’t really have any reason to be here except for my science class. All of my other classes are electives, newspaper, economics, and television production. I have senior sign out every other day but I wish it was everyday.
It is at the point where I’m like “School? Nah…I’m going to the mall.” Sounds stupid, but I really don’t see the point in being here all day everyday. I want school to end so I can go to college, but at the same time I want to have fun and really enjoy my senior year.
Which is what I have been doing. I’ve signed up for jello wrestling with some friends and I want to do our own version of “Evolution of dance” with my other friend. So I guess I’m not completely infected with senioritis. I mean I still want to do the occasional fun thing, but other than that I would rather be sleeping.

I thought that I was going to avoid Senioritis. And then it got to me. Now I'm in college and dealing with the same problem, except I'm not a senior. It generally happens once you've gotten complacent and handled the worst any given situation can throw at you. You start seeking a new challenge, and when you don't get it you're disappointed. Eventually, you don't see the point so you get lazy.
Don't worry, you only have a few more months. Try to enjoy them!

Wow someone else finally understands how it feels. The underclassmen always say they are getting senioritis and I am like well if your getting it now what is going to happen when your a senior. Some people think it is a joke but it is a real thing and it sucks to have it because the only cure is graduation.
