What I am taught

As I sit here, reading through all the texts written by the bloggers here, I cannot help but begin to notice and understand something. While, in the beginning, I came here because I heard of some money being given to those who could write and post I now can honestly say something different. I read and I write and I think and I write more...and I look over all the entries I see made on this site. I see hopes, dreams, asperations, awareness being written down, thoughts, musings, even bitter rants and thoughts I find to be counter-productive. Though my time on this site has been relatively short, I feel that I can honestly say that I have a genuine opinion.

To me now, the money does not matter. It no longer has any real value to it. To simply blog and post just to get money screams that it is a cheap reason for being here. It  is an insult to those who post here to let loose all the rantings, ravings and schemes within their brains. The experiance of being here and just immersed withinit all has opened my eyes completely to the fact that writing is not some cheap skill used to make a quick buck. Writing takes heart, talent, fire and compassion. You must see what it is within you and your fingers, keyboard, pen or pencil do the rest for you. 

At the end of this compitition I can only pray that those who did enter and still compete for money on this blog can honestly look inside to themselves. I wish for them to see the true writing spirit they possess and to learn from it. To grow and be enraptured within it's power. That is the greatest lesson of all. The contest may be here for you to write your blod upon, but the real goal is to wake up that writing soul. We bloggers are the future, the next wave. Let our pens and keystrokes be that which lay the path for a whole new world of literature.
