What is your (intended ) major/career?

Social Work

What issues are you most interested in (women's rights, education, racism, advancement of science, the environment, etc)?

Social Justice

What advice do you have for other bloggers?

Life is full of obstacles, just don't let them stand in the way of your goals. Just learn to work past the set-backs.

Are you in school, and if so, what year are you?

First year Graduate

If you had to describe yourself (or your blog) in one word what would it be?

Perfect!

What do you like best about ProgressiveU and your experience here?

ProU has provided me with a tremendous opportunity to improve my writing and research skills. I have also been given the opportunity to meet a ton of great people all over the world!

If you had a million dollars to spend on anything but yourself, how would you spend it?

I would pay off all of my friends' and family's debts and then donate the rest to the Make a Wish Foundation.

What book/movie has most influenced your thinking on an important issue?

The Bucket List is a movie that has helped me to see that there is so much more to life than financial troubles. Although money (especially when you have none) is necessary for life, people are much more important. If I lost my house tomorrow, I would still have my life, which is more precious than anything else in the world.

Who has helped shape your opinion on politics/social justice issues?

I am not sure anyone I know has shaped my views since most of the people I know do not always agree with me. I just do whatever I feel is write in my heart. Of course, I often make mistakes, but I learn from them.

How are you active in politics/seeking social justice in your community?

I try to promote social justice in my life by volunteering for organizations that many do not think to help. For example, an organization in my community established to provide support and assistance to members of the community with HIV or AIDs often does not get the attention that the homeless shelter or Hospice (both great organizations) receive. I try to donate my time to the organizations that need the most.

What motivates you to keep blogging?

Blogging helps me to put my life in perspective. By reading and writing blogs, I can focus on the many other aspects in life other than simply the things going wrong currently.

Who do you like to debate with?

I debate mostly with my surrogate mother - she loves to argue as much as I do so I go so far as to play devil's advocate just for fun!
