It is surprising how many college students are underage drinkers. Statistics has it that 44% of college students binge drink. Binge drinking means consuming alcoholic beverages up to 3 or more times a week. I think we all agree that 44% is pretty high.
A few students also die from alcohol intoxication on college campuses each year. Majority of students do not know when their body has had enough or too much to drink and they believe getting drunk is fun and helps you relax. Well news flash: that is not true. It may sound unbelievable, but college students die from alcohol intoxication.
When someone has been drinking and they start to vomit, this is not a sign that the body is ready for more alcohol, it is a sign that they should quit drinking because the body has either reached or passed it absorbency level. If they pass out, then it is time to get help or call the paramedics. This may sound silly to many, but never let them sleep it off or they may never wake up again. They can either choke on their vomit and die or die from intoxication.
Binge drinking on college campuses is totally not cool. I think we should all speak against drinking on college campuses. I believe banning alcohol on college campuses is definitely a good measure to help reduce preventable deaths on college campuses. I also think the major reason why college students still drink irresponsibly is because they are not informed. Read this and learn. You can keep a friend from dying.

the environment's just too crazy i guess. if you're ten feet away from someone who can legally buy it, it's pretty easy to give in.
I'm in college and I have friends who binge drink...alot. (I'm in a sorority, so go figure). I know underage drinking itself is wrong, but its impossible to keep alcohol away from college kids...
