[Gays should have equal rights] - I thought styrofoam was bad?

I have to admit, I am a Dungeons and Dragons junkie... I've only been playing for about three years now; but in that short time I have grown to love it and am in the middle of taking the tests to become an RPGA sanctioned Dungeon Master. And as such, I buy a lot of D&D related materials.

One of my latest additions to this collection is a set of intricately designed rooms and dungeons made by DwarvenForge. These little mazes and rooms work perfectly when designing dungeons for use with the D&D miniatures game (or even if you just want to use miniatures with your regular D&D campaigns).

So... I ordered two sets from DwarvenForge last week, which were delivered today.

However, these two sets were delivered in an obscene amount of Styrofoam - presumably to help protect them during shipping.

Now, granted, I am slightly older than many of you. But I remember huge advertising and marketing campaigns about how bad Styrofoam is for the environment. Has that all changed? Do people just care less now than they did 20 years ago?

Or have they just stopped advertising this?

Now, it is true that I generally see a lot less Styrofoam than I used to - I mean it used to be that all the fast food joints (and many, many others) used Styrofoam to package, well, everything. And then Styrofoam went away for a little while - you almost never saw it.

Now, sadly, it seems to be making another appearance.

Have we learned nothing?
