  • What is your (intended) major/career? I hope to do many, many things. Probably my largest venues would be writing and art, and possibly a deal of dabbling in music.
  • What issues are you most interested in (women's rights, education, racism, advancement of science, the environment, etc)? People who've read my blogs know I'm pretty heavily geared towards metaphysical topics--pretty much anything in that range fascinates me, so I guess that could fall under advancement of science. The real issue that bothers me is the psychological status of most of the world. If you show me a person who seems happy, I'll show you a person with deep-rooted problems that are buried deep within. If you're not in absolute bliss, you're not happy. If you're not happy, there's something wrong with you--not that it's your fault. We just can't help it! That's what interests me--people, happiness, and how the mind and emotions work.
  • What advice do you have for other bloggers? I've made a couple blog posts on how to make good blogs, but they mostly get run over, ironically. Go look them up! But, to recap, there's a few good things. First of all, which seems like a no-brainer: learn English. If you don't KnOw ThAt ThIs or THIS IS REALLY STUPID, then you need to go read some books. Second: read some books. Your opinions are probably really underdeveloped if you don't know what's out there, so save yourself the trouble and learn things before spouting off. Third: Format your blogs properly! Four: Be smart and levered--don't ever become overemotional, because it makes you look silly (and you are silly if you're getting overemotional). Finally: Play to your passions. People will go out of their way to see real passion. If you don't know your passions--the best thing I can recommend is that you find out.
  • Are you in school, and if so, what year are you? Yep--I'm a junior in high school.
  • If you had to describe yourself (or your blog) in one word what would it be? Process. I'm a process of a person, rather than an actual person. I'm going to most likely contradict myself in the future (since I know I've contradicted myself in the past), and I'm always changing and growing. I'm not a still person or a person who will ever remain the same for very long, so a word like "process" just seems to be best.
  • Out of all your blogs, which is your favorite? My favorite blog, surprisingly, might be "Will You Give Her a Carrot?" It's recent, and sure, it stands out--but it's something I actually really feel strongly about. It also got washed over after a brief stint in the Highest Rated column, but that's okay. I have a couple other blogs that are pretty good and have received some attention, but I still like that one the best.
  • If you had a million dollars to spend on anything but yourself, how would you spend it? Honestly? I'd have to think about that long and hard. I'd want to give it to somebody who could do the absolute most with it to help people in general. Specifically, there are so many different places that it could go, I would need to seriously consider every possibility, but I would most likely give it to whoever could use it best.
  • What book or movie has most influenced your thinking on an important issue? Atlas Shrugged was probably the book that first really declared my beginning into a world of personal power, even if its theme was more in a tone of "noble selfishness". It also gave way to a quote I'm rather fond of: "Generosity is the greed of giving." You should read it! It's 1,084 pages of paperback goodness.
  • What motivates you to keep blogging? I keep blogging because I see people who haven't been hit by that bolt of lightning that I seem to have been--I keep thinking, but sometimes I don't share. I often don't share my thoughts since they're unstructured--profound, but unstructured, and don't make good blog material. So, when I get that really great post, I like to hold onto it and post it. I hope that some of my posts can turn over some stones, kick up some dust, and get people thinking, most of all.
  • What achievement are you most proud of? I'm most proud of my humility.
