Is Rent the biggest craze today? I sure think so. Many out there reading might think to them selves...what is Rent. FYI: Rent is a broadway production and is touring. Rent is also a resent movie that has come out on DVD and VHS. Rent will open up new perspectives of life and a whole new understanding. This is just a feel good movie that inspires all veiwers.
Rent may look really lame and may not turn on every single person. I have to say that this movie is not a movie for kids/teenagers that listen to only RAP music and have no other genres in their current musical collection. It is mainly broadway music and has some racey details.
If you ever thought that Broadway was a good type of music. You thought right. Having this kind of music infulencing your life will improve all of your sense and you don't even know it.
Wow...what a great musical!!

Rent... I saw it for the first time this past semester while staying with some friends. I couldn't help but think back to such songs as "People will say we're in Love" from Oklahoma, or "Modern Major General," from Pirates of Penzance, and just think, "wow, they don't write them like they used to." I wasn't very impressed with the musical aspect, but then again, my classical music education is entirely due to looney tunes if you know what I mean.
Still, it did make me think about a few aspects of that type of life that I hadn't before. Also, the story of the writer dying just before openning night (that is right, isn't it?) is one of those human dramas that sticks in your head.
We sung "Seasons Of Love" for one of the graduations of my high school and I have to say that it is a great musical. I have a very diverse taste ranging from anything to The Ramones, to Usher, to Perry Como, to Mozart, to the cast of Rent. I love it as well! =)

We sang For Good, from wicked, at my graduation. ANOTHER great musical...

Was that really necessary? I mean seriously... -_- *rolls eyes*
Rent was a flop compared to Chicago, which started the whole Broadway to film trend.

I've heard it said that you will either love Rent- or you will hate it. There is no middle ground. That is definitely true. I loved it.
