amidst another ansty society, awaiting the awakening of another renaissance.

one thing that i have noticed about urban architecture is that it is so drab, so uniform, so consistant. nothing seems more pleasant to my eyes, than the cigarette butts, tossed aimlessly onto pavement, to join the ranks of millions of bits of paper, stepped on gum, discarded pieces of clothing, and other artifacts of uselessness.

as time goes by, i find myself being more able to look past all of the urbane-linear ways of living and realize to myself, as i see a very interesting peice of graffiti, that conformity & profanity are one and the same.

i am not even sure what it says. a jumble of bubble letters, colors that clash and seemingly archaic symbols. i come to the realization that while it is vandalism in and of itself, but graffiti represents the very essence of humanity, the need to somehow put your mark on the world. to somehow leave a legacy. to somehow trancend time and space and proclaim loudly to the world, i have lived. i have made my mark. i will do so in other places. i was here.

walking past all of these seemingly random people, i start to notice that there are certain aspects of life that ascend social class, that transcend barriers of paradigm and link us all together as one. or two. or even 8.

as one, we are all human, the quoth the man who shook a spear,if you prick us, do we not bleed. if you tickle us, do we not laugh? we are all naked under these clothes that we choose to wear. in that we all look the same.

as two, we are all either young and old, all either male or female, for richer or for poorer, lines can be drawn betwixt the borders of ourselves. it is what we make it to be.

as eight(which to me is really just a vertical mobius symbol), there is always something more to us than anyone person will ever know. i know you. you know him. he knows her. she knows me. i don't know him, but he knows that otherguy, who knows the dude. the dude knows her, but not you. you know that otherguy also.

although that may be true, how can we rightly do anything with that knowledge? what difference does it make who we know? it is how we know them that truly matters.

people can be broken down in the three p's. 1st p: personality. who they are and how they perceive the world, which brings me to the 2nd p: presentation: what they choose to look like and the ideals that come with said looks. sometimes i see people walking down the street with torn jackets and dirty underclothing. most times my first assumption is that they either are homeless; which i am myself; or that they are a working person, that they just got down and dirty on the job. so lastly the third p. i don't know what it is et but i know that it is a p. someone will help me find it hopefully. anywho. off to work.

~yours truly,
