Ok so I have some questionable morals...

I don't really care about lying. I really don't care about hitting that squirrel that ran out in front of my car. And I really don't care that something tragic just happened to you. I may be just a little egocentric.

But why am I? Is it really my fault? I mean aren't I just the total outcome of all my experiences? I couldn't be all to blame right? Society sends me some mixed up messages. For instance, I shouldn't lie, right? That's what Pinnochio taught us and all, but if all that is going to happen is my nose is going to get longer - well, those things can be fixed.

Society tells everyone that they are getting too fat. (God forbid you are a normal size.) But when you say something like, "I'm too fat." Someone will lie to you and tell you otherwise, even if you are a hundred pounds overweight.

Killing is wrong according to society. Backgroud profiles on the most notorious serial killers in North America has shown that they all had in common was they were not empathetic towards suffering little animals, but if I slam on my breaks, that guy will hit me and I'll have to get that fixed and the guy behind me is going to yell at me for slamming on my breaks for some stupid squirrel.

I should feel some empathy for other people. And I do, I suppose, but I don't want to discuss it for goodness sakes. I don't want to get all depressed because something happened to you. Depression is bad and people would think there is something wrong with me. If I felt half as nearly as bad as I say I do when something bad happens to someone else, I would constantly be in a state of dispair. I should be happy, though. I mean life is wasted on the young, right?

It's the basic thought process of nature. You don't have to care about anything else but yourself really and caring about other things causes problems. The reason why most people respond the way you described is because they think that they have to respond that way. Like for instance, when something bad happens to someone, people say "I am sorry to hear that." Are they really sorry or are they just saying it? You morals are not questionable, they are logical.

This is already better than your previous blogs. You picked an acceptable topic for this one that can somehow relate to progress.

Aren't we all a little selfish? We can only see the world literally from our own eyes, so how do we know what the person next to us is seeing? I personally feel a good deal of empathy for people. I guess all my emphasis of seeing from another perspective came from personal experience.
