Get BIG OIL Out of the White House!!

President Bush last Friday rejected calls to tax oil companies' record profits fueled by high oil prices but said he expects those companies to re-invest those profits into alternative fuels and new energy technologies. Why wouldn't he want to collect taxes from huge companies who are making kazillions of dollars? Are we not supposed to have a 3 trillion dollar national debt? Don't you think taking care of that would at least be on the President's mind a little bit? Why does he want to have the weight of paying for everything resting squarely on the backs of taxpayers? I personally think it is time to take some drastic measures when it comes to our government! It looks to me like the government's only purpose is to make money for the legislators and their corporate business friends.
