One More Quote

Ah yes, one more quote from the glittering jewel of colossal ignorance Jeremiah Wright that I heard on the radio this morning. “Jesus was a black man.” Oh… right …whatever …you know, I could have sworn Israel was not predominantly black, but then again, I do not have that “trained ear” you know. I am just a commoner here. It is not like I am anything of the caliber of Jeremiah Wright, which is actually true. I am not anything like that man. But that is another topic. Let us examine his claim that “Jesus was a black man.” First, look at His lineage, He was Jewish and from Israel! Israel, being bombarded by Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist scum on a frequent basis, is often on the news. I do not believe I have ever seen a black person in Israel. I have several friends that have gone to Israel and have taken dozens and dozens of photos. Never have I seen a black person in them. I know there are black people in Israel; there is actually some speculation that Simon of Cyrene was black, Cyrene being in Africa and he being in Jerusalem on business. However, I am fairly certain that blacks are in a very small minority. Jesus was also in the lineage of David. King David was also an Israeli, who happened to be in the lineage of Abraham, who was originally from Ur, which is modern day Iraq. Yeah…. My dad was in Iraq and one of his fellow officers was black. The children of Iraq were fascinated by her because they had never seen anyone who was black before. Yeah… I’m fairly certain that Jesus was not black.

Given that David's ancestors had not intermarried, Jesus would likely not be black, true. However, he would almost certainly not be considered white in the US today. Also, for all we know back then people in the mid-east had significantly darker skin.
