Have you ever had a friend that you set up with one of your friends? If so was one of these people your best friend? I have and it has turned out to be a good relationship but I am left somewhere without my best friend. I am used to talking to him on the phone every night but since a week and a half ago he spends every moment with his new love. I am happy for the both of them but you never need to leave your best friend hanging. There is a line you cross when the relationship becomes serious but a week and a half is not serious. I miss my friend already. I will always be there for him and will never go head over heels for a girl that i just met.
Best friends and girl friends

Even though the relationship is not serious, it is new. Most likely, they just both got caught up in the moment. they might not realize that they are doing it, so don't take it personally. Use this as a chance to hang out with some of your other friends, perhaps some that you have left hanging at times. After a while, just invite each one, separately, to hang out with you. If they can't make it, arrange for some time, and be willing to schedule around their dates. Or perhaps you could get a group of friends together, including the lovebirds, and just go to a movie or dinner or some kind of activity all together and that will remind them how much they enjoy being with their friends.
I know that totally sucks. I havent ever hooked one of my friends up with a new love but I've been really good freinds with one person and really good friends with another who didnt really know each other and then I had them mees and then they ended up becoming best friends and ditching me. I totally sucks but you have to remember that you were friends with them. They might not always be there but if you really really need them you'll find them.
