I'm one less...

Today, I became one less. Yes, one less. Today, I was vaccinated against HPV. What is HPV you ask? HPV is Human Pappaloma Virus. You can get it during sexual intercourse. It's a virus that causes several forms of cervical cancer in women. The vaccine consists of three doses. The first, whenever you feel like getting it. The second, two months after your first dose. And the third, six months after the first dose. It prevents four types of cervical cancer, and you can get it as young as nine, (girls only of course).Better safe than sorry right? Look it up if you're not too sure about. There are some side effects to the vaccine, but none of them are long term. You shouldn't get this if you're pregnant or already have cervical cancer. It doesn't prevent ALL forms of cervical cancer, but most of them. Get it today.
Do it, get vaccinated. And while you're at it, get the Meningitis one too. ESPECIALLY if you're going to college this fall.
Ask your doctor. YOU could become one less.

On another note, Senator Obama has just won Virginia. I found an inspiring video about Sen. Obama. So if you're undecided, watch and listen.

I had a friend who took the first shot of the guardasil vaccine and she was very much allergic to it. Has this happened in alot of cases and what are the side effects of the vaccine? Does it interfere with birth control? I am also worried because many times they develop a vaccine or treatment, administer it to millions of people, and without knowing longterm effects, 10 years later there is an epedemic or backlash from the drug. Remember the children of thalidomide? Those mothers were just glad to relieve their morning sickness, never knowing that it would result in their babies being born without limbs. How do we know that this will not happen again with something like this?
