This is my first blog on progressiveu.
i feel that i should first tackle the subject of those less fortunate then ourselves. Those who not only cannot use computers but also cannot afford things such as heath insurance and college educations. I recently realized that there are many less fortunate then myself. When i was in 4th grade i broke out my two front teeth and as a female, thought my life was ruined forever. I'm now a junior in high school and still living with the semi-permanent acrylic front teeth. I have broken them out many times since they were "fixed" in 4th grade. I broke one out eating a not so new cookie from the cabinet, and once just minding my own business sipping coke through a straw. I have grown to have a new fear of cookies and straws. These events have opened my eyes to how extremely expensive dental work is. Like everyone says, there are kids in India starving, yeah well there are also kids in India without real dental help. Mine are not that noticeable but to me they obviously are and to think that there are kids out there that can't even afford the semi-permanent acrylic filling makes me really sad. :'( I understand that the world's biggest problem isn't less fortunate kids dental work but going through it myself made me see it.
