Our political law system is a joke. I've already touched on why we need to use common law again but...
Say your being robbed and you wake up and walk into where the robber is. You have a gun and you shoot him for robbing your house. Most likey you are arrested along with the robber, but even more likely is that you'll get penatilized more than the man who was robbing your house. Seems real fair huh? Happened here in Houston, happens all around the country. You cannot protect your property. If some one pointed a gun at you when this country was using common law, well then you could shoot him because of the threat on your life. Now adays if that happens and you shoot the person, your arrested and they're not. In America it is almost a crime to protect yourself and family.
Even more annoying is if it's someone who is a minority and your are caucasian. Because then your in some really deep shit.
In my eyes it seems that it is against the law in American to protect you and your family. If your african american, caucasian, asian, hispanic, any race at all, you have the right to protect your family from people who want to harm you.
Just not in America.

It costs less to kill them. Make that one shot count.

Aim for their eyes or heart...as long as you don't waste your shot. lol
Florida recently passed that bill making it legal for people to shoot-to-kill if they feel threatened. I'm all for it. Frankly, I'm surprised that a state as red as Texas doesn't have similar laws.
(if you can't see the fnords they won't eat you)
Yes but they would have to go into detail about what counts as being threatened. If I looked at you the wrong way would you shoot me? I know you wouldn't but there are a lot of morons who probably would do that just because.

Read the blog again...I'm not talking about how people look at you or shit like that. I mean like if someone has broken into your house or is threatening to kill you by pointing a gun at you.
But your right there are morons like that...gangs and stuff like that. It's quite funny to watch them
I know what you meant but you shot be able to if your life is threatned, but all I'm saying is with that law in effect (lets say natiowide)it might have to be a bit more specific you said by pointing a gun, would th erobber have to have a weapon, no. What if you make a mistake and shoot your cousin who came back into the house late and you shoot him. A long shot but it could happen. Next time I'll try to be more clear :)

I get what your saying...haha, i can hear it now, "I didn't mean to officer, i'm sorry cousin Billy." lol
"Say your being robbed and you wake up and walk into where the robber is. You have a gun and you shoot him for robbing your house."
What if he was stealing to get money to feed his children? How would that make you feel? Shoot-to-kill laws are insane as the people who follow or support them.
By the way, I never said shoot-to-kill
Please don't put words into my mouth that aren't there.
And I am perfectly sane, thank you...now how bout u?
You are a huge idiot...im sorry i have to say that moderators.
He needs to get a job, just because he's decided not to have a job, doesnt mean he can break into peoples houses.
Besides, he never said shoot to kill...read everything next time.
"What if he was stealing to get money to feed his children?"
That doesn't give the person the right to steal MY money and assets that I worked for right?

But he has to feed this theoretical starving children, remember...lol, someone call CPS in here if he can't take care of them.
According to our friend Impact, it does give him the right.
What the hell are my kids (I dont really have kids) supposed to eat then, if the robber robs me and take my money that I was going to use to go food shopping? Fuuny how that works...

it's very funny how that works...thats why his safety is more important than yours.
Me and my alter-ego pack quite a wallop. Now all theoretical robbers, and their children should fear us, along with anything else theoretical that i can mock, lol.
Good god, please don't bring that bullshit into this...that person needs to get a freaking JOB.
I would maybe feel bad, but just because he can't feed his kids doesn't give him the right to break into my house.
That is wrong, he encroached on my property and I have the right to protect myself.
Josh

Agreed, thats like saying "Well some people sell drugs to support their family" which is true to an extend but still, if you have to work 3 jobs, I'd rather do it the honest way you know?

Yep.
I know see why our crimal justice system is so screwed up, we have people like Impact getting people who are criminals off free. And we have people who agree with that view...it's crazy.
In addition to the robber thing, a person that is robbing a house can sue the person they rob if they are injured in any way. If the robber trips over something and breaks a bone or sustains some other sort of injury, they can actually sue if the house was messy and something on the floor caused them to get hurt. It sounds wrong since the robber should be tried for the crime of breaking in, but it is an actual law.
Yeah, I know...it's a stupid law. Whoever makes up these laws are morons...coughcoughourelectedpoliticianscoughcough.
