homosexuality

so heres the deal. i was browsing around the site and seeing people posting their ideas about homosexuality.

i for one dont care. i belive that if you are truly in love with someone you should be able to love and be committed to them. why is it so wrong? more same sex relationships are lasting longer then heterosexual ones. what makes gays/lesbians stay together longer? the fact that they are the same sex... no, they just know how to stay committed. why cant we do that?

at my school... there are alot of gay and lesbian people. so what? i am heterosexual but i have many homosexual friends. i repect their personal life as they would mine. there is nothing wrong with wanting to feel that way for someone. yes, it is a choice to feel that way, but is that so wrong? most of my friends who are homosexuals are beause they were never told "thats bad" or "thats wrong" they did what they thought was right. in fact, one of my friends was molested when he was younger by his babysitter. he told me how they would play "house" and that it was ok for two daddies to be in the house and it was ok to touch eachother in forbidden places. so... who gets called a "fag" and gets strange looks at school? my friend. and for what... being an naive little kid?

what burns me the most is how other people see and treat gays/lesbians. they arent any different then you are me. thats just as bad as racism. they are people who bleed and have feelings.

 and dont say, "well they have more pda's" bull. i hate pda's from anyone. hetero or homo. its gross. show your love at home or by holding hands... not by the whle "butt pocket" thing or swapping spit in a public place. have some dignity.

dont get me started on how lesbians are portrayed to be "sexy" and gays are... well gay. why do we see naked women with other women on tv. girls gone wild... thats something to be proud of? and what... its all in "good fun?" please... but if two gay guys were going at it like that... what is that about?

and the whole religion thing. yes, to some it is a sin. supposedly it means you are going to hell. but, some people are ok to live with that, some dont believe that. god loves every one of his creatures. so the sin of being gay wont stop it. neither will you cursing because we consistantly do it.

 there are alot of gay/lesbian/bi people out there who are afraid to come out and be themselves due to violence and hate and discrimination. i feel for those who are open with thier sexuality despite the world around them.

so personal freedom... yea. being homosexual is a tough thing to do, and for the most part its a choice. just like you choose to be hetero (because thats "right") you have the same ability to be homosexual.
