health issues for ground zero workers

 Nearly five years after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Ground Zero rescue workers are calling for the government to help tend to their health needs.

 

Many first responders became ill after inhaling the toxins at the World Trade Center site.

 

Hundreds of workers, local officials and labor leaders held a rally today urging the government to respond to the health concerns.

 

Several lawmakers have signed a letter to President Bush, asking him to meet with rescue workers and lawmakers to discuss the issue.
