how many times have I
wished to go back in time
Give me one last tease
and one last flashback
tell me one last time
everythings alright
cause though a new day is dawning
and the people enter softly
like a movie frame set out in orange light.
there are plenty of new faces
yet not one allows me to erase
your being from my mind
wishing to go back in time
to kiss your lips under clear skies
and feel as though I'm needed
to hold your skin so close to mine
hiding from those who forbid it
whether safely under covers
or under the cold wet rainy trees
remember one thing about this
polar bears live cold yet give off heat
and even when your frozen

that life would be easy
then I remember how
that would be asking too much
I dream about consistancy
and you being here with me
and how in a few years
it will all be alright
but the clock is bound to break soon
and the minutes will surely shatter
and the feeling of triumphant might just fade.
