In today society all you hear is adults complaining about how teenagers act now-a-days. But if you really think about today compared to October 2nd, 1970 life was along the same lines. In the 1970's teenagers were out drinking, having sex and listening to rock n' roll while getting totally stoned! But today, people say it's much worse. We're only out drinking, having sex and listening to Rap while getting totally high. Don't get me wrong, it's still all bad but hello it totally sounds like the same stupid crap just different terms.
The reality of it all is not that teenagers are bad it's just that we're all the same. No matter how different one person thinks they are, at least ten other people have done the same exact thing before, weither it be yesturday or last week or 30 years ago. Teenagers are teenagers and however much you think you can change someone, you can't. There will always be "sex, drugs & rock n' roll" metaphorically speaking of course. You can't change that, no matter what day or year it is.

You hear all these old people complaining about "young hooligans" and whatever, like they didn't do things against the rules or things their parents didn't like. Grr. Maybe it wasn't sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll, but they still did stuff. Like, you know, make out before they were married. Which everyone knows was taboo back in the 20's and 30's. :)
There is a time to live, and a time to die. But now it the time to break it down!
well in the old days (lol) I think it was all just more hush-hush. If little Sally got pregnant, she got sent away to stay with family in another state.
I know some things ARE at an all-time high, like teen pregnancy, but you're right...it's all the same shit.
Not all parents think that our generation is any different. For example, my mother lets me express myself, and always tells me how i'm so similar to her when she was a kid. We both love(d) Rock N' Roll, she has every Alice Cooper Vinyl ever released, and i'm into the Insane Clown Posse. We're all the same, its just that some parents either 1) don't want to admit it or 2)were very conservative in high school.
