Ok I took the S A T in early June 08 and I was just able to check out my scores online but I dont really know what they mean!!! So I got a 500 on the critical writing, 500 on the math, 530 on the writing, 52 on the multiple choice and 8 on the essay. I think that means that my overall S A T score is 1530. What does that mean. Is that an average score, a good score, a bad score, a high bad score, a high average score, a low good score???? It would be really nice if you guys could tell me what you got and how you got into college with that S A T score etc... For my high school that is a pretty good score and I'm about 50 points over what the college I want to go to wants but still does that mean it is a good score? Please give me any feedback you have whether it is positive or not. I just want to know what it means. So ya please tell what score you got, if that score helped or hurt you from getting into college, if you took the S A T more then once, if you think I should take it again and well basically just tell me everything you know about the S A T scores.

I think a 1530 is average. It's not bad...but some colleges are getting more compeitive with them while others don't even look at them. You can still get into a lot of colleges because they usually look at the math and critical reading scores. You can get some academic scholarships too if your gpa is good.
