Ok, I know that when people hear "Mormon" they think oh, the people that marry their cousins, or maybe you haven't even heard of the religion.
First of all, I live in Utah and I'm not even Mormon but... they aren't polygamists Just because Warren Jeffs (leader of the FLDS Church) has recently been arrested and he rapes little girls thats one thing. The Mormon church and the FLDS church are two totally seperate things. Warren Jeffs isn't even a member of the real mormon church. When we look back in history plenty of things have changed. Kings had lots of wives back then, things were different. Lets come to terms with it. I talk to people all over the United States for work everyday, whenever I tell them I live in Utah they laugh. Am I in some sort of "Religious Bubble"?? Are things really that different in Utah?
In general, I think everybody needs to stop looking at religions as a whole. It's just like not EVERY catholic priest is a pedophile. There are exceptions in every group. Mormons, Catholics, Baptists... every religion. Same as race.

Not that I am defending him, because he's a scumbag, but Warren Jeffs has been convicted (he was actually arrested a long time ago) as an accomplice to rape NOT for actually "raping little girls".

OK, so do you think the leader of a polygamist church is innocent from the crimes that he arranges.... I don't think so. Just because he has been convicted of just that does not make him innocent!

Unless you have proof, and you're willing to take it to court... that's libel. These articles are indexed on Google News, and I suggest you watch what you write if you can't back it up with fact.
I'm not defending him, because he's clearly a really creepy, scummy, manipulative son-of-a-bitch. But I am defending the rights of people to be innocent before proven guilty. So if you think he's a rapist; fine. But state is as your opinion, not fact... and back it up with something besides thin air.
