Contraceptives?...My decision or their's?

So everyone has heard some where about the broad use and disuse of contraceptives.

SO to start off, for those of you who do not know a contraceptive is an attempt to not get pregnant. Now here where i live, you say contraceptive the immediate answer is anstinance....but for whom does this work?

ok there are several contraceptives....like oral contraceptives( birthcontrol pill), condoms, shots, insertions, spermacides....lots of things. ok?

now since many people today are screaming abstinance let us see the results of their teachings and rules shall we?:
After a decade of declining ( 34%) teen birthrates (2 generations after the free love hippys), the rate has now began a steady increase. Between '05 and '06 the rate increased 3 % .

is there a solution to this?....maybe teaching kids more about the relationships they will face and the meaning of " true love" not responsibilities of sex and such. maybe then girls and boys alike will not so much feel the pressure of sex, or think that to keep they "love" they think they have around they should have sex......

send a better message.....dont do yet again ( as i said with alcohol...kinda) tell them hey dont do this, because the rebellious nature of the human being will convince us to break that rule... let them find there way with a slight guiding light not a giant spotlight and guard rails...

My parents always kept me from knowledge, in the fifth grade they had the maturation clinic, and every year after that the school taught about it and what happens, but my parents took me out of it. i think, the knowledge of what they will having to be deal with say, if you did get pregnant would/ maybe scare some of, but yet, there are condoms and other contraceptives, that can prevent that. maybe not informing about every single detail abut sex since the day a child is able to know, isnt a good idea, maybe they should take sex education out of school, and leave it to the parents. Maybe that would.

Kids in general want to prove themselves as "not weak" so they go out and against their parents, they go out and sneak- prove they can decide on their own. i think they should tell the negatives alone, and suggest they shouldn't. so, there is my stand on abstinence.

Perhaps b/c teenagers "prove they can decide on their own" and often turn 180s on parental advice, it may be effective to use it against the kinders. Tell 'em the opposite; use sarcasmic forces, ya know?

Okay.

the rebellious nature of the human being will convince us to break that rule.
